Dear Christian Friend,

 

It is our pleasure to introduce you to Camp Hugh at Bunker Hill, Illinois.  It is conveniently located approximately 30 to 40 minutes from Edwardsville, Alton, Collinsville and North St. Louis County.

 

The campground is located on thirty-four acres.  There are dormitory style sleeping quarters for both men and women which can sleep approximately 85 in each building.  There is also a small personal sleeping area below the the open-air Chapel which will accommodate a camp evangelist and wife.

 

We do not swim in the small lake but campers do like to fish and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.  The campground also offers:

• Two paddle boats (available for rent)

• Three pavilions with picnic tables

• Cut hiking trails in the woods

• Swing set

• Half basketball court

• Sand volleyball court

• Ball field with backstop

• Horse-shoe pits

• Tether ball

• Four electrical R.V. hook-ups (additional fee)

RENTAL RATES

General Access grants you use of the camp grounds and the Chapel (both dorms, the mess hall, and the snack shack not included).

Premium Access grants you use of game grounds, the Chapel, the mess hall, both dorms, and the snack shack.

2 Paddle Boats-------------------------------------------------------------$10 per boat (per day)

Camp Capacity

171 (1 bed in the evangelist quarters, 84 in the boys dorm, 86 in the girl dorm)

 

Insurance

Prior to check-in, a Certificate of Liability Insurance from your Agent is required.

First-Aid

State of Illinois requires you have a person qualified to administer First Aid if it is necessary.

Upon signature of application, you recognize that:

1)  Camp Hugh or Friendship General Baptist Church will not be held responsible for injury or loss of personal property.
2)  You become totally responsible for any damages or destruction of camp property and materials.

3)  A deposit equal to 1 day’s reservation fee is required to place the group’s request on the camp calendar.  The balance of rent is due at the time of check-in at the camp.  Date will be penciled in, for 10 days pending receipt of deposit.
4)  Deposit is not refundable unless approved by the Friendship General Baptist Camp Board.

5) You will be responsible for all your own cleaning supplies, paper products, linens, trash bags and etc. (This includes toilet paper)

6) Camp Fires will only be allowed in designated areas.  (Please check before building a fire.)

7.) It is to be understood that you will return keys and the camp will be cleaned before leaving.

8.) It is important that you click "Reservation Form" link and request the required forms needed to reserve the camp.

9.) These forms must be returned as soon as possible with the required deposit.
